1. About the platform
Sitterly provides software that independent pet-care businesses use to manage scheduling, client communication, payments, staff, and related operations. Sitterly is the software platform, not the pet-care provider.
2. Pet-care businesses and services
Each pet-care business using Sitterly is independently responsible for the services it offers, its prices and cancellation policies, accepting or declining bookings, its employees or contractors, and the safety and quality of its services. Additional terms from that business may apply to clients and sitters.
3. Private beta, subscriptions, and fees
Sitterly may provide selected businesses with free access during a private-beta or design-partner program. The scope, duration, support, and eligibility for that program may be communicated directly to the participating business.
- The public design-partner application does not require a credit card.
- Private-beta access is not a promise of permanent free service unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
- Future subscription plans, included usage, payment-processing costs, and other fees will be communicated before a business is asked to make a paid commitment.
- Card-processing fees may be charged by the payment processor under its own terms and rates, separate from any Sitterly subscription.
- Each pet-care business sets its own service prices and remains responsible for what its clients are charged.
4. Accounts and authorized access
- Provide accurate information and keep account credentials and devices secure.
- Use the platform only for lawful, authorized business or personal purposes.
- Do not access another organization's data or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Notify the applicable pet-care business or Sitterly promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
- Pet-care businesses are responsible for assigning appropriate roles and removing access when a person no longer needs it.
5. Bookings, payments, and integrations
Booking and payment features help pet-care businesses and their clients transact with one another. The applicable pet-care business, not Sitterly, sets service prices, confirms bookings, establishes refund or cancellation terms, and fulfills pet-care services. Payment, calendar, messaging, map, AI, and other features may rely on third-party providers with their own terms.
6. Communications
Businesses may use Sitterly to send service-related email and text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to an applicable text-message thread to opt out and HELP for assistance. Opting out may limit automated booking updates but does not prevent communications otherwise permitted or required to provide a requested service or respond to a user.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Sitterly to:
- violate law, third-party rights, or messaging and payment-provider rules;
- send deceptive, abusive, harassing, or unauthorized communications;
- upload malicious code or interfere with platform availability;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse data except where law expressly permits it;
- impersonate Sitterly, a pet-care business, a sitter, a client, or another user; or
- use the private beta to test against live people or data without the authority to do so.
8. Artificial intelligence
Sitterly may use artificial intelligence in selected features, such as helping prepare visit reports, recaps, sitter-fit suggestions, or business commentary. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and should be reviewed by a person before it is relied on or sent.
Available account controls may allow an owner to disable AI features. The Sitterly Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when an AI feature is used.
9. Beta availability and account action
Private-beta software may contain errors, incomplete workflows, changing features, or service interruptions. Sitterly may maintain, change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue platform features and may limit access where reasonably necessary to protect users, businesses, providers, or the platform. Pet-care businesses control access for users participating in their organization, subject to applicable law and their agreement with Sitterly.
10. Feedback
Design partners may provide suggestions, bug reports, workflow observations, and other feedback. Sitterly may use that feedback to improve the platform without owing compensation, but will not identify a business publicly, use its logo, or publish a quote without permission.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Sitterly Privacy Policy. A pet-care business may also provide its own privacy notice for data it controls.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Sitterly is provided as is and as available, particularly during private beta. We do not promise that the platform will always be available, free of errors, or suitable for every business. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sitterly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost bookings, business interruption, or lost data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sitterly's total liability for a claim is limited to the subscription fees paid to Sitterly in the 12 months before the claim. During a free private-beta period, that amount may be zero unless applicable law requires otherwise. Pet-care services are provided by the pet-care business, not Sitterly. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so part of this section may not apply.
13. Dispute resolution
Please contact us first at support@sitterlysoftware.com and describe what happened and the resolution you are requesting. We will attempt to address the issue directly. If it cannot be resolved, either party may pursue available legal remedies. Nothing in these terms prevents an eligible claim in small-claims court or a request for urgent court relief to stop misuse of the platform.
14. Governing law
Sitterly is operated from the United States. The final operating legal entity, registered address, governing jurisdiction, and venue will be added after the applicable registration and legal review are complete. This section must be finalized before broad commercial launch.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects an account owner's rights, we may provide notice by email or within the product before the change takes effect.
