Sitterly Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Our Role
Sitterly is software used by independent pet-care businesses. When a pet-care business uses Sitterly to manage its clients, sitters, bookings, and operations, that business controls its business records and determines why the information is used. Sitterly processes that information to provide and protect the platform.
Information We Process
- Account information: name, email, phone number, role, and authentication details.
- Business information: organization settings, staff, services, schedules, policies, and branding.
- Client and pet information: contact details, service address, pet profiles, care instructions, and notes.
- Booking and visit information: requested services, dates, assignments, status, messages, photos, reports, and location data when an enabled feature requires it.
- Transaction information: invoices, payment status, refunds, payouts, and provider identifiers. Full card details are handled by payment providers rather than stored by Sitterly.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, logs, cookies, diagnostics, and security events.
- Communications: email, text-message, support, and notification records processed through the platform.
How Information Is Used
- Provide booking, scheduling, messaging, payment, reporting, and account features.
- Carry out instructions from the applicable pet-care business.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, secure tenant data, and investigate incidents.
- Operate support, maintain reliability, and improve platform performance.
- Meet legal, accounting, safety, and provider requirements.
Service Providers and Integrations
Information may be processed by vendors that support hosting, storage, email, text and voice communications, payments (including Stripe when enabled), calendars, maps, analytics, monitoring, and optional AI features. A pet-care business may also connect integrations it selects. Providers receive information only as needed for the applicable feature and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
SMS and Text Messages
When a user consents to SMS text messages, the applicable pet-care business may send booking confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, sitter updates, and related service communications through Sitterly. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of an applicable thread or HELP for assistance.
Retention
Information is retained for the time needed to provide the platform, follow the applicable pet-care business's instructions, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Final retention periods will be documented in the counsel-approved launch policy and applicable business agreements.
Security
Sitterly uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, tenant scoping, credential protection, monitoring, and secure payment-provider integrations. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Access, Correction, and Deletion
Clients and sitters should ordinarily direct requests to the pet-care business that manages their account. Account owners can use available platform controls or contact Sitterly for assistance. Depending on location and context, legal rights may include access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain information. A data deletion request may be limited where information must be retained for security, legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Identity verification may be required before completing a request.
Contact
Questions about this privacy policy or a data request can be sent to support@snoutos.com. If your request concerns records controlled by a pet-care business, we may direct the request to that business.
